I bought the boat in July 2005 and have spent the last few months getting the boat how I like it. Rewiring, fitting, cooker, fridge and
connecting running water, also extra cleats & fairleads etc. so had little time for cruising last year, but when weather permits I intend to go as far as I can in both directions on the Grand Union. I am becoming used to to the jibes of "Tupperware" and "plastic  boat" from the "so called real canal boats" ie barges. As an ex  owner of two Tupperware sea fishing boats at Ramsgate I point out that I've  served 27 years in the Royal Navy 23 years of that in Submarines, been to sea in a force 10 in a plastic boat and that their boats probably  wouldn't last 5 mins!! This usually shuts them up.!!
